This is what Sofamor Danek has to say about the Triton Power Surgical System: The Triton System provides intra-operative flexibility and efficiency with its integrated Pneumatic Control. A diverse array of quick release handpieces, attachments, and accessories are available for cutting, drilling, reaming, and pinning.
The high torque handpiece has a compact, ergonomic design with variable speed trigger operation, forward and reverse switch, and a quick release button that allows use of multiple attachments and easily attaches to the blue Triton hose. The high torque handpiece runs at 1600 rpm at 120 psi - 8.3 bar. The torque is over 135 inch-ounces with a cannulation of 3.2mm - .125" or 1-8".
